A couple of weeks flew by and I haven’t had a chance to blog about this amazing family! I don’t blog every session but try real hard to do a couple a month. It was great to meet these kiddos and captured their little personalities. Thank you McKay family for a great time!

•January 13, 2013 • 1 CommentIt was such a pleasure to capture this little girl’s newborn photographs. I got my baby fix:) This mommy and daddy have amazing friends. The gift of friendship is so special and I truly appreciate my friends. Well these friends got together and purchased a “newborn gift certificate” with elena gipson photography. How awesome is that…? Pretty awesome I think 🙂 mommy and daddy did not have to worry about a thing! Newborn session in their home, priceless photographs captured and now soon to be delivered portraits for their home. All thanks to a group of friends understanding the value of Newborn Portraits.
Beautiful chalk design and art done by my good friend Cathy Loop!

•November 14, 2012 • Leave a CommentLove this time of year…. getting into the spirit means family pictures, smiles, laughter and love. This family with no exception experienced just that. So happy that they made the time to capture this special time in their lives. With nana and poppa and a baby. Hope you love these as much as I do.

•August 4, 2012 • Leave a CommentI just adore babies! Fell in love with this little guy the minute I saw him. I got that feeling of wanting another baby but it was just for a second : ) I sure got my baby fix with this cutie. I have to thank the Mommy… she knew she wanted pictures from elena gipson photography. When she was pregnant and I’d run into her, she would say, ok, I got your number, I want you to take my baby’s pictures. Day 2, home from the hospital she texted me to ask when I would be able to go over for his newborn session. I thank you for choosing me for your precious baby’s first photographs and seeing the value of newborn portraiture during the first few days of life. Hope you like these as much as I do!
Amanda + Peter | Ventura Beach Wedding | elena gipson photography
•July 30, 2012 • Leave a CommentWhat a pleasure it was to capture this bride and groom, my niece and new nephew : ) Amanda is so special to me, I became her roommate when she was 4 years old and she never complained. Left my curling iron on; and she burned her arm. My friend and I gave her a spicy hot carrot; and she put it to her lips, she saw our laughter and said no with a grin 🙂 She has a heart of gold and a never ending smile to show her heart.
This smile captured Peter when they were in high school and they soon became friends. Fast forward ten years with a distant friendship over coffee, emails and social networking. Peter saw his opportunity to win Amanda’s heart and that is exactly what he did. Love blossomed and though Amanda is currently in her last year of law school, Peter juggling full-time work and school they decided to get married. July 26, 2012 was a beautiful day, their wedding day. I’m so happy that you both reconnected and fell in love, love you both!
